Dancing to Turkish 9s

Difficulty: Intermediate/Advanced. Workload: Medium. Suggested duration: 4 weeks. If you follow our suggested duration of four weeks, get ready to invest about 1-2 hours per week in your training. But remember, you can always go through this intensive at your own pace. Four weeks is just a suggested structure. If you think that Roman Havasi rhythm is the only 9/8 Turkish beat, then you are missing the whole universe of possibilities! In this program we will: - jam to a bunch of various beats⁣⁣ in 9 (time signature) - challenge our fast isolation technique ⁣ - get inspired by Turkish style of belly dance⁣⁣ - learn a full drum solo choreography AND work on our choreographing skills⁣⁣ - meet a new GUEST instructor at the club!⁣⁣ This intensive was done in collaboration with Raquy Dalziger. We will work on a drum solo to her composition Istanbul.
