A continuation of our previous Hips Shimmy intensive, but as a laser-focused marathon.
Hip Shimmy Intensive 2.0 is designed as a focused 4-week training program where hip shimmy becomes the main focus. Unlike the previous intensive on hips shimmy, which integrated shimmy into broader dance training, this intensive zooms in on one element and develops it with clarity and intention.
The structure is simple and approachable: short, follow-along drills of about 20 minutes, performed consistently throughout the week.
While the visible result is a stronger, more controlled hips shimmy, the deeper benefit goes beyond that. Working on hip shimmy develops your ability to initiate movement from the hips with precision and ease, which directly impacts your overall technique in belly dance. With consistent practice, you begin to notice improvements in control, range, and clarity across all movements—making this intensive not just about shimmy, but about building a stronger technical foundation.
Suggestion on how to approach this intensive:
1. Plan 20 minutes for a DAILY workout
2. Do tutorials in the suggested order
3. This program can be repeated multiple times, and every time you will gain even more strength and muscle awareness in your body.

If you follow our suggested duration of four weeks, get ready to invest 20 minutes per day in your training. But remember, you can always go through this intensive at your own pace. Four weeks is just a suggested structure.
