About
Difficulty: All levels. Workload: Medium. Suggested duration: 3 weeks. If you follow our suggested duration of three weeks, get ready to invest 1-1,5 hour per week in your training. But remember, you can always go through this intensive at your own pace. Three weeks is just a suggested structure. Some dancers feel intimidated by the idea of using hair movements in their dance. It looks too crazy, even potentially dangerous. But once you know the proper technique, you’ll discover that it’s much easier than you thought. Hair movements are not the main focus in belly dance. However, they are an important part of some folklore styles like Khaliji, Kawleeya, Bandari, etc. It also can add a tremendous WOW effect to your drum solos, fusion chores, or even Mahraganat shows. Don’t limit your movement vocabulary just because you are afraid, or simply don’t know how to make your hair move in a desired direction. This intensive has two goals: - To help you overcome potential fear in trying different hair movements, - Give you complete understating of the movement mechanics. It consists of the series of technique drills covering wide range of moves: hair flips, circles, figure eights, tosses, traveling steps with hair, etc. It also includes two combos: one in Khaliji, and one in Iraqi styles.
